Abstract

The study explores the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in university-level English teaching through a mixed method. The research aims to improve student learning outcomes and engagement by combining traditional instruction with AI-powered tools. A controlled trial was conducted, with two groups of students: the experimental group (EG) exposed to AI-integrated instruction and the control group (CG) receiving traditional instruction. Statistical analysis revealed significant improvements in proficiency scores for the experimental group compared to the control group. Additionally, qualitative feedback showed higher engagement and satisfaction among students in the experimental group.
