Simplifying Packaging Design Based on Computer Assisted Design System
Main Article Content
Abstract
The current paper examines how CAD systems can ease the packaging design process. The study compares the traditional method and the CAD-assisted method using the following KPIs: design time, the number of iterations, error rate, and design quality. A comparative analysis between the two shows that this technology does provide huge advantages by decreasing the design time, number of iterations, and error rate, and increasing the design quality. CAD systems allow designers to strike a balance between aesthetic requirements and the practical needs for the design, in return enhancing creativity and efficiency in innovation. With these findings from this research, it will be evident that CAD seems to present a strong foundation tool for competitiveness, creativity, and collaboration in packaging. Other influencing factors that may affect CAD in terms of sustainable packaging shall also be further investigated. Generally speaking, this paper presents a transformative prospect in CAD design for packaging.
